It is also risky because not everyone adheres to the rules of good digital citizenship.
Other threads are moderated by the person or group of people who created it. The threads linked on this web page are moderated. Each comment added is only visible to the individual who added it and me. When I have reviewed the comment, I either approve it, which makes it visible to everyone, or I delete it. This preserves the integrity of the voice thread that I create for my classes, but it limits whose comments can be seen.
The third type of thread is closed to outside comments. This type is created just for others to view, but not participate in. Threads like this are created to deliver information and may be valuable to the digital community, but are not intended for others to add their own comments.
